Core Curriculum

Our students benefit from a vibrant art and music program, a fully stocked library, outstanding physical education, and state-of-the-art technology, including personal Chromebooks for completing assignments. We also provide reading and math enrichment, ensuring that each child is challenged and supported at their level.

Beyond the classroom, we offer Title I services, including speech therapy, to help meet individual learning needs.

At St. Anthony of Padua School, our English & Language Arts classes engage students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities every day. Our goal is not just to help students become confident readers and writers—but to inspire a genuine love for reading and writing.

Through thoughtful, daily lessons, our dedicated teachers create opportunities for students to talk about books, write about them, and explore both their own world and others through rich, age-appropriate literature.

We use Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s Into Reading (K-5) & Into Literature (6-8), which is designed to support all learners—whether they’re in the core classroom, receiving intervention, or learning English as a second language. Each week centers around an Essential Question, incorporating vocabulary, reading skills, and comprehension strategies that help students grow as thoughtful, engaged readers.
